Mining Tiers

Mining tier is one of the two inputs to your staking multiplier (the other is lockup tier). Your tier rises with consistent mining activity over rolling windows, and a higher tier means a bigger share of every vault distribution paid out to your staked balance — it does not change per-block coinbase, which is a flat 50% to whoever solves the block.

How to Mine
  1. Download VeldClient-Windows-x64.zip from veld.network. Optional: verify the file hash against the published .sha256.
  2. Extract the ZIP and double-click Start Mining.bat.
  3. Choose: resume an existing wallet, import a keyfile, paste a private key, or create a new wallet. Set a passphrase to encrypt the key.
  4. The client syncs the chain (a couple of minutes on first run) and then mining starts automatically.
  5. You earn 50% of every block you find — paid directly to your wallet. Mining consistently also climbs the mining tier ladder, which boosts your share of vault distributions.
